Hi, I'm a newbie. Isn't frustum culling supposed to handle that? Objects that clearly lie outside of the camera view? I thought occlusion culling is for objects that are behind each other.

To clarify, I'm seeing the camera is top-view in that video, so I'm wondering if there really is much overdraw in that kind of situation to warrant the need for occlusion culling. I imagine a first-person perspective would benefit more.

I'm simply asking because my game is top-view too and I'm wondering if I do need occlusion culling as well.
